Hi Guys,
I'm so sorry about being a rubbish blogger lately, so much has been going on and I just haven't either had the time or felt like blogging.
One of the biggest reasons I haven't felt like blogging is because my beloved cat Savvy has been ill, I found a lump on his neck and took him to the vets, after blood tests and biopsies they've found he's got lymphoma, so we've now got chemotherapy drugs to give him as well as steroids, the vet is hopeful that as he's still pretty healthy and perky that the drugs will help keep the cancer in check and we'll hopefully at least have a few more months with him.
I'm heartbroken that I'm going to lose him, I've had him since he was a kitten and he's now 13 which is a good age, he's been with me through some really bad times in my life as well as some great times, and he's like my best friend, he's also the cleverest cat 've ever met and he's a complete softy.
Isn't he a cutie, although I wish I could get a photo with his eyes open, but whenever I point a camera at him he closes his eyes ready for the flash even if I'm not using it. He's got lovely amber eyes, so I'm going to have to find a way to fool him into not closing his eyes. :-)
Anyway, I've also been busy and pretty stressed out with my bus driver training, at first I was loving it and it was going well, but my driving test got cancelled because of the weather, then a couple of days later I turned up after a terrible nights sleep and was told I was having my test that day, I was so tired and stressed out that I failed, so they gave me another chance but I failed again. Luckily they've got to know me and know that I can drive the bus well (I only got three minor faults in my last test) and that it's my nerves and being tired and stressed out that have caused me to fail as I made silly mistakes I wouldn't make if I was more with it, so in less than a weeks time I've got my third and final test, this time I'm hoping I pass with flying colours, then I'll have some more training before they let me on the road with passengers which should be fun.
Here's a photo of the bus I've been driving, it's forty foot long and over eight feet wide, it takes a bit of getting used to, but the size doesn't scare me as much as it did when I first started driving it.
I've named the bus Daisy, she's actually quite nice to drive, and it's alot like driving a classic car, noisy, too cold or too hot, and the steering wheel's got lots of play in it. I've met loads of lovely people at the garage where I'm being trained, and I think if I pass my test I'll fit right in. :-)
So that's what's been going on in my life, I'm hoping to get back into swatching once I have more time, I've got some swatches that need editing so I'll try to get them sorted and shared with you. With the give-away I've put it on hold for now, all of you that entered will automaticially be entered again when I have time to do it again, hopefully next time life won't get in the way so much.
Cheerio for now,
Heather. :-)
*hugs* I hope Savvy pulls through.
