One of these polishes is Disco Diva. I thought I'd post some swatches of the different versions I've found as it's one of the colours that there's still several versions available in my local store and it might be the same by you, hopefully with my comparision swatches you can decide which version you want to hunt down.
Before I show you the swatches I'll list the variations and what they're like, starting with the newest version through to the oldest.
Version 4 - Deep Purple glitter, blue to green micro glitter, holo glitter, holo micro hair glitter, green to blue hex glitter, orange to blue hex glitter, purple holo shard glitter
Version 3 - Lavender purple glitter, light blue glitter, green to blue hex glitter, orange to blue hex glitter, holo hex glitter, purple holo shard glitter
Version 2 - Lavender purple glitter, blue micro glitter, holo hex glitter
Version 1 - Lavender purple glitter, blue micro glitter, red micro glitter
Basically Disco Diva is a purple glitter with various added elements, the first three all seem to share the same lavender glitter, and the last two share the same lovely colour changing hex glitter and purple holo shards.
My photos below really aren't the best, for some reason my camera just couldn't bring out the true colours, but the bottle shots above are true to life and are in the same order as the swatches. The swatches show the polishes at one, two and three coats and from left to right are version 4, 3, 2 and 1.

For a polish collector Jess polishes are pretty awesome, in my stash some of my most treasured polishes are old ones by obscure cheap UK brands that were sold at my local market stall, I know that I'll probably never see another bottle and the colours all rock. Jess polishes will probably have the same appeal to a collector like me in the future, and can you imagine how much fun it'd be trying to track down all the different versions?
I'll try to do some more posts about Jess polish once I've swatched them, there's some amazing glitters and I've got at least three more polishes where there's different versions of the same name.
Cheerio for now,
Heather. :-)
I think they are all cute - regardless of their poor quality control over glitter variance!
ReplyDeleteEven if they're crappy - they're pretty!
