Duochrome Vintage Vault - Sally Hansen Bright Metal

Sally Hansen is the queen of duochromes, there is no doubting that, and when I have a full set of Prisms I'll be a very happy girl indeed. But Sally didn't save her duochrome pigment for just the Prisms, oh no, she went and created Star and Fire Opals, and the HD's and the LustreShines, so when it comes to duochrome goodness Sally's your girl.

Now with us polish girls loving our duochromes you would think every Sally Hansen duochrome would be on a blog some where, well I can't find today's polish mentioned anywhere, which is weird, because this polish is great and deserves to be oggled at by lusty nail polish addicts.  :-)

Let me introduce you to Bright Metal from the Hard As Nails with Nylon range, I have no idea when this polish was released, or where, but what I do know is that I paid £1 for it from the poundshop, which is a bargain and somewhat amazing.:-)

Right enough waffling, time for the polish to do the talking, but be warned there's loads of photos as I wanted to you show the many sides to this polish...

Bright Metal has a metallic almost chrome like finish, it's really reflective, the colour goes between a light blue, through to purple and to pink, there's also a bit of green and yellow in certain angles. The photos above are in different lighting as I wanted to capture all the colours and looks of this, in bright light it has a sparkle, and in shade it's much more metallic and chrome-like.

Bright Metal goes on quite sheer, but builds to opacity with 3 coats. It's got a runny formula and a skinny brush which tries to drag the polish, but it's workable and let's face it, it's worth it for the colour you end up with.

I'm so happy I found this polish, finding a jem like this in a poundshop is so much more fun than just picking something easily available off the shelf in Boots. I'd love to know what you think of Bright Metal, do you own it, or know how old it is, and does it get the thumbs up?

Cheerio for now,

Heather. :-)

    1. I think it deserves a thumbs up, I don't think I've got anything like it, so it's pretty special. :-)
